Suzanne is admitted to the British Columbia Bar (1999) and California Bar (2004). Suzanne comes to Caravel following an impressive legal career that began in Vancouver, articling at Lawson Lundell and then in London, England as an Associate with both Norton Rose and Allen & Overy. She then moved to California and held the roles of General Counsel for Irwin Home Equity Corporation and Senior Corporate Counsel at Wells Fargo Bank. After leaving the US, Suzanne and her family moved back to Vancouver where Suzanne started her own legal consulting practice before joining BuildDirect.com Technologies as Chief Legal and People Officer, and Corporate Secretary.

In 2020 Suzanne joined Caravel, and then left in 2022 to pursue an in house opportunity with Nexii Building Solutions as EVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, where she was able to leverage her legal, operational, risk management, and corporate governance expertise in the sustainability sector. Suzanne has also served as a Director of Western Pacific Trust Company, Equal Rights Advocates, and the Association of Corporate Counsel (BC Chapter). Suzanne has managed Corporate Governance matters, financings, regulatory compliance, investor relations, general commercial matters, human resources and internal communications/relations. She has recently decided to re-join Caravel and we are thrilled to welcome her back. When she isn’t working Suzanne spends her time shuttling her kids around the Lower Mainland for hockey and soccer, running the sea wall, skiing at Whistler and generally taking every opportunity to enjoy the incredible work/life balance that Vancouver has to offer.
