At Caravel Law, Robert works with clients on commercial, IT, and telecommunications legal matters, including the negotiation and preparation of complex commercial agreements, specialized software development and licensing agreements, cloud and SaaS agreements, service agreements, sponsorship agreements, and standard procurement templates.

As corporate counsel for his clients, Robert oversees IP management (including patent renewals and trademark filings), litigation management (including consumer protection litigation), and HR management, both domestically and internationally.

Previously, at Research in Motion (now Blackberry), Robert served as team lead for IT Procurement and Alliances and managed the drafting and negotiation of contracts pertaining to joint marketing. He also managed the drafting and negotiation of commercial transactions including service and consulting agreements, inbound licence agreements, telecommunications agreements including fibre service and site agreements, Internet connectivity agreements, and agreements for phone services.
