Terry is an accomplished senior legal counsel with knowledge in a broad range of
legal disciplines, including corporate, litigation, entertainment, regulatory and real
estate.
Terry’s versatile experience includes acting as General Counsel to one of Canada’s most respected Indigenous governments, where he advised Chief and Council, Tribal Councils and Indigenous Boards, Committees and Commissions on corporate governance, risk mitigation, and litigation matters. While acting in-house, Terry gained recognition as a leading advocate for inherent and Treaty rights, with acknowledged expertise in the Indian Act, Indigenous Law, and the laws, regulations and policies governing First Nations.
Terry’s expertise also includes providing strategic advice for real estate development, hospitality and casino operations, Alberta’s alcohol and gaming legislation alongside their subsequent regulatory frameworks, and business structures and economic development.
