Wendy is a talented lawyer who has worked in-house in the energy and manufacturing industries. Over her 19 years working at a large cap TSX/Nasdaq listed chemical company, she gained increasing levels of responsibility, commencing as Corporate Counsel in 2000, with subsequent promotions to Senior Corporate Counsel, Director Investor Relations, Director Human Resources, VP Human Resources and finally Senior Vice President Corporate Resources and General Counsel. In her role as Senior Vice President, Corporate Resources & General Counsel, Wendy was responsible for the Legal, Stakeholder Relations, Human Resources and Information Technology functions globally. In this role, she oversaw the design and implementation of new strategies and several organizational restructurings that optimized talent, enhanced culture, brand and social licence to operate, leveraged information technology, ensured legal/regulatory compliance and mitigated exposure to risk.
In her most recent role as General Counsel of a newly listed TSX company that produces hydrogen fuel cells for the commercial mobility market, Wendy worked closely with the Board and Executive Team to implement and streamline Board, Corporate Governance, Compliance and Contract Management Processes.
