Terry advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, drawing on experience in both private practice and a senior in-house role, where he advised on business operations, major projects and organizational decisions. He regularly advises on business structures, commercial arrangements and agreements, and on the legal issues that arise when organizations establish, manage or change their business relationships. He also counsels senior leadership, boards and committees on their authority and responsibilities, decision-making processes, disputes and the management of legal and operational risk.

His practice extends to land, real estate development and construction matters, including projects with multiple parties, regulatory requirements and significant commercial commitments. Terry also advises organizations on day-to-day legal and operational matters, such as employment agreements, terminations, severance and retirement arrangements, and workplace investigations. In the hospitality sector, he advises on casino and hotel operations and brings a working knowledge of Alberta’s alcohol and gaming legislation and regulatory frameworks.

Terry has also served as General Counsel to a First Nation, advising its leadership and related entities on commercial initiatives, governance and economic development. A results-driven legal advisor, he is known among his clients for his strong communication skills and business acumen.
