Patrick, former General Counsel for Atria Development Corporation and Dragados Canada Inc, is a succinct writer and drafter, clear communicator and calm negotiator. On these projects, and others, Patrick has provided strategic advice both to senior management and to people on the ground. He has helped municipalities, contractors and developers to understand and negotiate various commercial arrangements including partnerships and joint ventures, development agreements with municipalities, developments on Indigenous lands and CCDC forms of contract and supplementary conditions. Patrick has advised clients on commercial arrangements in complex regulatory environments, including utility companies (EPC contracts and power purchase agreements) and a passenger railway (track access agreements). Additionally, he has represented companies in negotiations with a wide range of counterparties, including public clients, business owners and vice presidents, law firms and in-house counsel.
