Sue leverages her years of in-house and large firm experience to provide both private and public sector organizations with strategic and legal advice, including the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial and technology agreements, providing support on regulatory compliance and governance, marketing and advertising matters, employment, privacy, intellectual property, and litigation management.
Sue has extensive experience working with the public sector, including the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority of Ontario (RHRA) and Cancer Care Ontario. At Cancer Care Ontario, a technology and data-driven public sector organization that oversaw and directed approximately $1.9 billion in funding to continually improve health system performance for Ontarians, Sue supported a number of functional disciplines most notably procurement and commercial contracting. As General Counsel at RHRA, Sue provided complex legal advice to licensing, inspections, complaints, compliance, communications, analytics, and the CEO and Registrar. As General Counsel at The Globe and Mail, Sue provided legal advice and strategic direction to all aspects of the business including innovation labs, vendor relations, and procurement. She served as Corporate Secretary and Chief Privacy Officer at both RHRA and the Globe.
