At Caravel Law, Ben works with a number of clients on corporate, commercial, and technology matters, including developing template distribution and OEM agreements, contractor agreements, e-commerce agreements, terms of service, software license and development agreements. Ben’s clients have included Redknee Inc., Cogeco Data Services, Sangoma Technologies, Telax Voice Solutions, and Primus Canada.

Ben also advises on CRTC policy and compliance issues, and, recently, is working with a number of clients on CASL (Canadian Anti-Spam legislation) compliance activities, including auditing companies’ marketing communication activities, developing a compliance plan, and revising email and website forms. Ben also works with clients on developing privacy policies and procedures and advises generally on privacy matters.

Additionally, Ben is CIPP/C certified, this a professional designation awarded by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) to individuals who have demonstrated a high level of knowledge in Canadian privacy laws and regulations.
