Sonja’s litigation experience combined with her work as in-house counsel, has enabled her to develop strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills, the ability to work as a member of a team, and, most importantly, the ability to identify risks and provide practical business solutions. Some areas of her expertise include reviewing and drafting commercial agreements;​ providing legal advice and support to internal departments on compliance with privacy, consumer protection, debt collection, employment standards, and human rights laws; and providing legal advice and support on company litigation matters, employment matters and contracts in an In-House Legal Counsel role. She also has experience with litigating claims involving wrongful dismissal, human rights, property damage, billing issues, personal injury, and contract disputes. ​

Sonja has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Tax Court of Canada, and the Employment Insurance Board of Referees. She is an effective and efficient lawyer looking to help you with your employment and litigation needs.
