David is an experienced lawyer who is comfortable in advisory and litigation roles. He has experience as a crisis manager in business and government legal sectors. He has led in-house legal groups and held in-house counsel and compliance roles. David regularly advises on complex privacy issues, competition law compliance, and CASL & anti-spam. He also has experience with foreign investment reviews including national security matters, misleading advertising, anti-bribery and corruption, and supervising litigation teams. He has represented clients at litigation settlement negotiations as well as at mediations before the Competition Tribunal.
David has an extensive legal background and even helped develop and write Canada’s current Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. David’s skill set also includes strong writing, public speaking and interpersonal skills.
